My approach I use mindfulness and cognitive behavior therapy to help clients develop awareness of their thoughts and to reframe their negative thoughts. Therapy with me is a partnership between you and me. We will work together to set realistic goals and create an effective treatment plan that works with your lifestyle. My focus My ideal client is an adult woman navigating anxiety, depression, grief, stress, low self-esteem, and/or trauma. I also help women who are victims of domestic abuse reclaim their power by healing emotional wounds. My ideal client is also an adult woman in pursuit of overall wellness and personal growth. My communication style My communication style is relaxed, open, clear, and respectful. My goal is to support you through active listening and empathy. I will be a calming presence through the challenges of life. My journey to mental healthcare My journey towards becoming a therapist began over 15 years ago while serving as a secondary school counselor. I not only focused on student academics, but I also did a lot of crisis intervention. I became drawn towards therapy after having a front row seat to watch the healing journey of my students. I am motivated by watching others heal. My goals for you I provide optimal care by individualizing sessions to meet your needs. Your needs will be determined based on the goals we set together and your areas of concern. Once you make progress, we can make adjustments to your plan if needed.
