Hello! My name is Jeff Helms. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in North Carolina. Additionally, I am a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina. I received my Masters from the Palm Beach Atlantic University and have been practicing for 10 years. I help adults struggling with depression and anxiety as well as trauma. Additionally I am EMDR trained. In our first session together, here's what you can expect My personal philosophy of counseling starts and ends with giving you the space you need to express yourself in an environment of no-judgment, compassion, patience, and understanding. Working with me, I will be an ally walking along with you as you face and overcome past challenges and obstacles that have held you back. This time, with me, you will feel equipped and the confidence to cross the obstacle that held you back in the past. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions My greatest strength as a provider is empathy. Part of my journey is dealing with depression and trauma and finding healing seeking counseling. I am very aware of the reality of diagnoses like depression, anxiety and past trauma but know it is possible to put in the work to process all of this in time and still thrive in life. The clients I'm best positioned to serve I love working with clients who ready to do the work to reach their goals. Over the years I have worked with clients from ages 10 to 80. The clients who, regardless of age I am best positioned to serve are ones who take responsibility and are willing to do what it takes to face past obstacles and move forward to create positive momentum. My clients are met willing to stay stuck and will do whatever it takes to improve their circumstances.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
