Psychotherapist
OK
If you’ve been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that you can’t seem to change on your own, therapy can help. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adults and couples facing anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress, life transitions, and challenges that can affect their sense of connection and well-being. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I don’t believe therapy should be about simply talking through problems without knowing what to do next. Together, we’ll work to understand the patterns keeping you stuck, develop practical skills for responding differently, and create changes that fit your real life. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Restoration therapy (RT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) . I tailor treatment to each client rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you’re looking for help managing anxiety, improving your relationship, navigating a difficult season of life, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again, we can work together to identify a path forward. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. If you’re ready for things to feel different, I’d be glad to help you get started.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I see therapy as a collaborative process. You can expect me to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and occasionally challenge you when I think it may help you see something from a different perspective. You don’t need to prepare anything special for your first appointment. We’ll spend some time getting to know what brings you to therapy, what you hope will change, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. From there, we’ll develop a treatment approach together. I value honesty, curiosity, and active participation. Therapy isn’t about giving you a list of things you “should” do—it’s about helping you better understand yourself, experiment with new ways of responding, and make changes that are meaningful to you. I’ll meet you where you are, while helping you keep moving toward where you want to be.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session is conversational but purposeful. We’ll begin by checking in on what has happened since our last visit and identifying what feels most important to address that day. We’ll then spend time exploring the situation, emotions, thoughts, or relationship patterns involved and work toward a clearer understanding of what is happening. Depending on your needs, a session may include guided conversation, learning or practicing a specific skill, working through a difficult situation, or identifying a small step to take between sessions. I may occasionally use worksheets, exercises, or other structured tools when they are likely to be helpful. Sessions are not rigidly scripted, and we can adjust the focus based on what you need that day. The goal is to make each session useful rather than simply filling the hour.

More information on payments and coverage

I accept several major insurance plans, and coverage varies depending on your specific plan and benefits. Your insurance company ultimately determines your eligibility, copay, deductible, coinsurance, and other out-of-pocket costs. If you are using insurance, I will submit claims on your behalf and collect any applicable copay, coinsurance, or deductible amount according to your plan. I recommend confirming your mental health benefits with your insurance provider before your first appointment. **Private-pay is also available** for clients who prefer not to use insurance or whose insurance is not accepted. My private-pay rate is $125 for individual therapy and $140 for couples therapy.
