Getting to know Jeffrey David

Jeff came to Lifestance Health after working here as an Intern during his first year of graduate training. His journey to becoming a therapist came from having run addiction recovery groups as a volunteer for nearly 3 ½ years. There he found how much pain people live with, often while working hard to appear as though nothing is wrong. There is something so incredibly powerful about seeing someone being validated and heard. Before returning to Lifestance, he worked at Renaissance Ranch Treatment Center–helping those in the acute phase of addiction recovery. Jeff specializes in anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, addiction, life changes, ADHD, PTSD, and those times when we feel “stuck” in life. Outside of his work and family life, Jeff loves to BBQ. He joined the Kansas City Barbecue Society in 2012—first as a judge, then as a competitor. His team won a BBQ grand championship in 2017. Jeff has also been a food writer for City Weekly and Utah Stories. In addition to that, Jeff is a swimmer. You can often find him at a nearby gym swimming laps during lunchtime. Vacations are often to lakes or the ocean where he unwinds with picturesque, open-water swims.
