Getting to know Jeffrey Gianelli

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Stanislaus, serving clients in and around Oakland, California. As your therapist, it is my priority to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes growth and positive change for you. I look forward to working with you to address your challenges and realize your goals. Therapy is a process that can move you toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the life you desire.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My aim is to help you to get to the root of the problem so that you can address it from the ground up. It is similar to working in the garden. If you simply chop off the top of the weeds they grow back, but if you pull them from the roots then you don't have to keep coming back over and over. I use a variety of techniques to help you get to the source, where true healing and transformation can happen.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use a variety of therapies such as EMDR, IFS, ACT, DBT, CBT, Mindfulness and Self Compassion
