Hello, I'm Jeff. Growing up in Ohio and serving in the Air Force for 22 years, much of that time spent in Europe, has given me a unique perspective on life and the challenges we face. I returned to Ohio, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Supervisor, and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. My focus is on addressing a variety of life issues that can impede your unique potential. These include substance abuse and dependency, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as major life events that we all encounter. I work with individuals from all walks of life, including children, couples, and adults. My approach to counseling is person-centered and existential, primarily concerned with your goals, aspirations, and the realization of meaning in your life. I view life’s problems not as impediments but as opportunities for growth and development. In person-centered counseling, the focus is on you and your goals, not on the problem or diagnosis. This approach is not about seeking advice or fearing judgment; it’s about engaging in a collaborative conversation based on unconditional positive regard. Together, we will journey towards your realization of meaning and goals.
