Getting to know Jeffrey Smart
My focus is on a variety of life issues that impede the unique potential of the individual. These include substance abuse and dependency, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, as well as major life events that happen to us all. I work with people from all walks of life, including children, couples, and adults. Person-centered counseling is not a platform on which one seeks advice or fears being judged, as if "under the microscope." Rather, it is a collaborative conversation based on unconditional positive regard, in which counselor and client journey together toward the client's realization of meaning and goals. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support individuals through these challenges.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
