He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Keene State College and his Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. For his graduate internship, he provided adult outpatient therapy in both New Britain and Bristol, CT. He then took an opportunity to work as an intern at Yale University conducting assessments and therapy groups for clients dealing with addiction and chronic pain. Before joining The Counseling Center, Jeff worked for several years at Greater Nashua Mental Health Center. During that time, he provided a wide range of services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness as a member and eventual Team Leader of the Assertive Community Treatment Team. Services included crisis intervention, case management, functional support, vocational support, psycho-education, and evidence-based individual therapy. Mr. Weigle believes that forming a strong alliance with clients is a vital foundation from which to build positive change. Once that is well-established, he tailors treatment to the needs of the client utilizing a range of evidence-based, insight-oriented, and solution-focused techniques including acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. He has experience providing such treatment to adults with Major Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, and Personality Disorders. He also has experience with co-occurring medical issues and substance use disorders.
