Psychotherapist
FL
Welcome! I'm Dr. Young, your licensed psychologist with over ten years of experience. I’m enthusiastic about navigating life's challenges together, serving adults, children, teens, families, and diverse communities. My work spans across rehabilitation programs, schools, and local mental health services. Educationally, my journey started at UC San Diego for my Bachelor's in Clinical Psychology, extending to California School of Professional Psychology for my doctorate. I’ve worked closely with clients grappling with emotional, behavioral, educational issues including ADHD, family stress, life transitions, and learning differences. My therapy is rooted in respect, compassion, collaboration. I firmly believe that within us all are inherent strengths and resources for balanced, fulfilling lives. Therapy is a space for gaining self-understanding, strengthening decision making, unearthing inner resources, and finding purpose, as we address the barriers to healing and growth together. I strive to foster a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment - a place where you will feel seen, heard, acknowledged, and empowered. I draw from a range of evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavior Modification, among others. I am equipped to support clients with anxiety, depression, family conflict, grief or loss, identity issues, ADHD, relationship issues, acculturation, and cultural identity. I'm also proficient at conducting testing and evaluations for diagnostic clarity. I'd be honored to walk alongside you in your journey, wherever you are.
