Getting to know Jen Bowman

Hi, my name is Jen Bowman, and I have been a Social Worker since 2007. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I am passionate about helping young adults and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, and grief and loss. Over the years, I have worked in various settings, including foster care, outpatient mental health clinics, dialysis clinics, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. We can all feel depressed or anxious at times, but when these feelings persist for a prolonged period, it may be time to consider getting support. People suffering from depression often experience symptoms such as isolation, negative self-talk, low motivation, sleep disturbances, low energy, hopelessness, and helplessness. When someone is struggling with anxiety, they often experience excessive worrying, agitation, irritability, restlessness, intrusive thoughts, difficulty concentrating, challenges in social situations, and panic attacks. These are all issues I can help you with!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
