Setting up your patient portal is required to complete your appointment.* Grief, loss, bereavement, anticipatory grief and life transitions have been practices I have honed through years of experience working with hospice patients and their families. Therapy helps process grief, anger, regret, and unfinished emotions. New beginnings require endings and letting go of what no longer serves you. I've spent much of my social work career working in home care and hospice. Hospice is particularly meaningful for me. The dying process is a very heightened and meaningful part of everyone's lives, and I was honored and privileged to bear witness to this journey for many patients and families. I was also able to help them navigate the resources they needed. I provided mindfulness-based counseling to help patients and families remain in the moment. I also worked with patients on a multitude of mental health concerns that come at the end of life, but also throughout the lifetime. In my current role as an outpatient therapist, I've come to appreciate every human's capacity to heal, to find joy and compassion for themselves and each other. I am well-practiced in bereavement, grief and loss, life transitions, and working with an elderly or chronically ill population. I also have experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD, a history of trauma, and bipolar disorder.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My hope is to create a safe space for patients to see themselves more clearly and find acceptance and love for what they find. I hope they learn how to live authentically and embrace their true nature to best care for themselves and others. We're all on a learning journey in this lifetime. There is never a time when we can't learn more about ourselves and each other so we can all live purposeful and meaningful lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I approach care with compassion and a keen ear to not only listen but also hear each individual. I want to gently guide people toward their goals of real and lasting change. I approach treatment from a strengths-based and psychodynamic perspective. I also have an extensive history in mindfulness practices.
