I am Jenifer James, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been in the behavioral health field for 8 years, a therapist for the past 5 years, and I am currently pursuing my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am licensed in Texas and Michigan with 8 years of professional work experience working with children, teens, and adults providing individual, family, and couple therapy. I formally provided counseling services in-home, in a middle school clinic, at a university college clinic, within a community healthcare clinic, and in virtual private practice. I have experience in helping clients cope with addictions, relationship issues, motivation, self-esteem, identity, confidence, and depression. I work with couples to repair trust, improve communication, and strengthen their emotional intimacy with each other. My main focus of therapy is providing a safe place for vulnerability, exploration, and building upon the skills you already possess. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.
