Getting to know Jenifer Maloney

I am an assertive communicator and am not afraid to ask tough questions. One of my strengths is that I am able to help clients see patterns in their life that may be impacting their mental health. I am able to build a rapport with clients so that they feel comfortable being vulnerable. I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Psychotherapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy & Trauma Focused Therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has been working with children, adults, and families for over 20 years. I started my career working in a residential facility with at risk youth and quickly found that working in the mental health field was my passion. While I worked to obtain my Bachelors Degree from Leslie University and her Masters Degree from Boston University, I've held a variety of positions working with incarcerated individuals, people with substance use disorders, and children and families. Once I obtained my Masters Degree, I continued to hone my clinical practice as well as develop and utilize leadership skills in the non profit sector and I've overseen both residential and community based programs providing clinical supervision and training, program development, and oversight.

I do my best to find a therapeutic technique that works best for the individual.They can expect me to be strengths based, honest, challenging, and supportive.
