Getting to know Jenn Caldwell

Hi! I'm Jenn, a licensed mental health counselor based in Tampa, Florida. I hold a Master's in Rehabilitation and Mental Health from the University of South Florida and have over 15 years of clinical experience working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and substance abuse, as well as those facing everyday life challenges. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and children and love watching people increase self-awareness and create sustainable change in their lives. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, using these modalities in individual, family, and group settings. I take an individualized approach with every client I work with. Everyone has a unique story to tell-I am here to listen and help them work through any challenges. My goal is to see my clients reach their highest potential. I want to equip them with the tools they need to succeed in all areas and empower them to identify what might be blocking them and how to break through. My clients appreciate my authentic and genuine approach to treatment. I am truly passionate about what I do and excited about the opportunity to work with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

The hope is you will leave your first session feeling a weight lifted! You will feel seen and heard. You will feel like you finally have a game plan in place to start addressing the issues in your life and creating real, sustainable change. After each session, you will be given at least one small goal to accomplish before the next session. This will mainly be to help you practice the new skills you learn in a real setting so you can provide feedback. What I find is this keeps my clients motivated and learn new ways to apply the skills in real life. It also helps them to figure out what works for them and what doesn't. The long term goal is create a toolkit of skills you can use at any time when you are having challenges. You will be able to apply these in old and new situations.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Great for individual counseling but not for couples counseling, which is what I initially signed up for.
