Getting to know Jenna Savago

I got into counseling to be a space for others to talk, feel, and question. I want to provide a safe space to figure out life, because looking inward can be difficult or scary. I base my counseling on where the needs are of the client. I use both the counseling and the art to assist in working through those questions, thoughts, and emotions that come up daily. I'll help create and complete goals, come to terms with concerns, and ultimately hope the client can leave with more independence, understanding, and confidence. I have a Master's in Counseling and Art Therapy, and graduated in 2017. I am an independently licensed counselor, as well as a board certified art therapist. Further, I am certified in trauma informed care, and have a focus in Gender Affirming Care. I primarily work with adults 18+, however I will also see teens ages 15+ on a case by case basis. I have a background working with depression, anxiety, life stressors, LGBTQ, women's issues, and trauma. My approach is eclectic and I do not like to subscribe to one specific type of counseling modality. Every person is different, and needs their own individualized therapy.
