Getting to know Jenness Jones
I'm Jenness C. Jones, a fully certified psychotherapist and Mental Health Counselor operating in both Florida (#MH23067) and South Carolina (#9988). 2012 saw me graduate with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, and I have been actively practicing since.
My career has seen me deliver psychological evaluations and therapeutic services to numerous individuals, each facing unique mental health challenges. I've provided care to those affected by PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, domestic violence, family issues, and anger management problems, offering trauma-informed individualized care to adults, children, and first-episode psychosis patients.
I use a plethora of effective therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychoeducation. These methods have proved excellent for treating mental health challenges like PTSD, psychosis, depression, anxiety, emotional instability, and anger management issues.
A large segment of my experience has been in outpatient community mental health and correctional institutions where I've catered to incarcerated populations by offering therapeutic interventions and psychological assessments.
Since 2024, I've been running a private practice, providing children and adults with therapy services and psychological assessments. Additionally, I've gained specialty training for the performance of psychological evaluations for those seeking immigration-related relief, extreme hardship waivers, asylum cases, and protections under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
I remain profoundly dedicated to dispelling the stigma associated with mental health and constantly aim to provide culturally responsive, compassionate care that promotes recovery, resilience, and sustained wellness.
