Jennifer Alexander, LPC, Clinical & Training Lead, a niece of two retired military veterans She began her education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication with a minor in Psychology from Tarleton State University. She was a middle school English teacher for 22 years before earning a Master of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University. Jennifer has a passion for helping veterans living with anxiety, PTSD, and depression. She uses solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) techniques and cognitive processing therapy. She has been trained in grief counseling and will be attending EMDR training in August. Jennifer supports a healthy collaborative environment that helps empower her clients to take control of their lives by providing tools to reduce stress and cope with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health concerns. She strives to bring learning, growth, healing, acceptance, and peace to her clients’ lives. Her goals include providing her clients with crucial support and coping tools so they can learn to develop healthy perceptions and how to reinforce and engage in positive relationship experiences. Her primary focus is to enhance the Clinical Lead role by emphasizing support, collaboration, and engagement.  While our work in a virtual environment offers many advantages, it can sometimes lead to feelings of isolation and disconnection.
