Getting to know Jennifer Bellavia

Finding the right person to examine your mental health with can be daunting. I offer children and adolescents the opportunity to recognize patterns of thoughts and behaviors that are unhelpful and work to alter them. My specialties include traumatic stress, transitions and changes, self-esteem, school-related issues, behavioral difficulties, anxiety, and depression. My approach is accepting, strengths-based, and evidence-based. I use a varied mix of treatment modalities. You are not a cookie cutter, and your treatment shouldn't be cookie cutter either. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Syracuse University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a safe comfortable place for children and teens to express themselves without fear. Although treatment will be individual, family is brought in when appropriate and parents are kept in the loop regarding health and safety concerns.
