Getting to know Jennifer Breen Justice

Hi there, I'm Jennifer! Welcome! I am Jennifer Breen Justice, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles, California. You have taken the first step toward living the best version of yourself. Seeking support and finding an ally on your journey can feel unfamiliar, but congratulations-you are on your way! My approach I tailor my approach and utilize a variety of modalities to meet each client's unique treatment needs. I conceptualize cases through the lens of Attachment Theory and Psychodynamic principles and use solution-focused strategies and tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support growth and change. My focus For the past 27 years, I have had the privilege of working with adolescents and families from diverse backgrounds facing challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma in New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. I have witnessed individuals and families come together and make changes that once seemed unattainable. My communication style My communication style and approach are eclectic, interactive, straightforward, and very much human-infused with warmth and a sense of humor. I am a fierce advocate for my clients' needs and have also been known to give honest feedback and have uncomfortable conversations to support individual growth. My journey to mental healthcare My initial training was in residential facilities for adolescent treatment. I then became an adoption case manager in New York. After that, I wanted to solidify my work experience and shift toward a clinical focus. I earned my Master's in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Dominican University of California. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I am always aware of the privilege it is to work with clients. I consider every therapeutic relationship a gift, and if you're ready to take the next step, I look forward to working together to support you on your journey!
