Getting to know Jennifer Christensen

Hi! I'm so glad you're here. Life is hard sometimes, and my goal as a therapist is to help you feel better. I am a solution-focused therapist, which means I believe in hope, personal growth, and positive change. As a mental health provider, I do my best to help my clients feel supported and empowered. I'll meet you where you are, and we'll move forward together. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), and I am working on a doctorate with a trauma-focused specialization. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I'm certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am personally invested in helping my clients heal from trauma, develop healthier relationships, and find personal peace. I became a therapist because I have a sincere desire to serve and connect with people. Outside my social work practice, I am involved with my family, my hobby farm, and my community. I also enjoy baking, singing, and playing the piano. I am grateful to the therapists who have supported me through life's challenges, and I'd love to be a helpful resource for you.
