Getting to know Jennifer DeVore

Jennifer DeVore is a licensed clinical social worker in Kentucky and Indiana. She earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2019. Since then, Jennifer has worked in community mental health and group private practice, most recently as an independent contractor. Before becoming a therapist, Jennifer held various outreach and communications roles at nonprofits. She led the outreach efforts that expanded the presence of Kentucky Waterways Alliance, an environmental nonprofit combating water pollution, in the Louisville area. After stepping away to take time off and recalibrate, she pursued a path to therapy-a decision that profoundly changed her life. Her journey from burnout to a late-in-life ADHD diagnosis at age 44 was hard-earned. Jennifer hopes to pay this experience forward, helping other women with undiagnosed ADHD find the support they need to heal and thrive. Her mission is to help change how neurodivergent girls and women are recognized, diagnosed, and treated. There is a critical need to bridge the gap for females seeking an ADHD diagnosis and the treatment they deserve once diagnosed. Jennifer's own late ADHD diagnosis enriches her ability to serve women on this path. She guides neurodivergent women through the grieving process of a delayed diagnosis, supports them in embracing strategies, systems, and supports to thrive, and encourages acceptance of their strengths and struggles with compassion, forgiveness, and resilience. Jennifer offers teletherapy and will soon provide in-person appointments for individuals in the Bowling Green area.
