Jennifer DeVore, LCSW

Psychotherapist
KY
Hi there, I'm Jennifer! My name is Jennifer DeVore, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Kentucky providing tele-therapy. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Louisville. I primarily work with women and specialize in neurodivergent populations using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, strengths-based, and narrative therapy. My approach Using a framework that honors neurodiversity, my approach varies by client according to their needs and goals. We begin by discussing self-care and what that means to you so you can feel better right away. Then we look at barriers keeping you from feeling good, including how you speak to yourself to identify the voice of your “inner critic.” We also explore if there are environmental factors holding you back. My focus As a neurodivergent-affirming therapist, I work primarily with women who identify as neurodivergent. Each client differs in needs, goals, and healing trajectory. Neurodivergent populations, especially women diagnosed later in life, often struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. I help clients find where they are on their healing paths so they can let go of limiting beliefs and start rewriting a new narrative to move forward. My communication style My style is affirming, personable, nonjudgmental, and direct. I often use humor because laughter helps us heal. My goal is to create a comfortable, safe environment where you can be free to be who you are. My journey to mental healthcare My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep desire to understand myself. As a neurodivergent woman, my healing journey has been hard earned. Being a therapist means paying my experience forward so your path is a bit easier. I find great joy in helping clients reach their goals.
