More information on payments and coverage

Metro Counseling and Wellness is a self-pay therapy practice. Insurance is not accepted as a form of payment. I accept cash, checks, HSA/FSA and all major credit cards for session payment. Upon request, I can provide a statement at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company if you have out-of-network behavioral health benefits. On average, most people can be eligible to receive 60-70% reimbursement for their therapy sessions once their deductible is met. However, it will depend on your individual plan, and there may be an out-of-network deductible to reach first. Please reach out to your insurance company to verify your out-of-network benefits prior to starting services. I will also provide a Good Faith Estimate in your initial paperwork, which is a fee schedule to help you anticipate the cost of therapy. You can also reference here for more information about the No Surprises Act. Benefits of seeing me as an out-of-network therapist include: Autonomy in care; together we determine your treatment. Care will not be influenced by any insurance requirements (no session limits, diagnosis requirements, or surprises with denied claims) You get competent care from my specialized training in trauma and perinatal mental health; along with years experience and expertise to support your healing journey If you have a high-deductible plan, it may be the same cost to you to see me than an in-network therapist If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be reimbursed a significant amount of your session costs Maintaining a smaller client caseload allows me to provide more personalized care to you
