What should a new client know about working with you?

About Me As an AuDHD adult diagnosed later in life, I know what it’s like to spend years masking, misreading signals, and wondering why certain things feel harder than they “should.” Finally having language for it helped me untangle old patterns and find ways of moving through the world that actually fit. I bring that same curiosity and gentleness into the therapy room, helping you notice how your brain communicates, what supports it, and where it shines. You deserve a space built for neurodivergence. If you grew up carrying your family’s pain, it’s easy to feel like you were the problem—especially when you noticed patterns no one else would. Generational trauma can leave you bracing, over-functioning, or feeling like the emotionally responsible one in every room. In therapy, we use tools like IFS to explore the parts of you that learned to survive and help them feel seen and supported. I trust your inner knowing to guide you toward the self you’ve always been becoming. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand how painful it can be to feel unsupported by the people who matter most. I also know the confusion, grief, and growth that can come with exploring your gender or identity. At the same time, there is so much worth celebrating. I love working with LGBTQ+ teens and adults, and I’m committed to creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are. If you want a therapist who’s been in the trenches, I’m here to support you however you need!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Internal Family Systems In IFS, we work with the different parts of you—those that protect you, carry pain, or hold your strengths. The coping skills you have today likely protected you as a child, and we honor the role they played. Together, we explore these parts with curiosity and compassion, helping you understand them, heal old wounds, and build a stronger, kinder relationship with yourself. Person-Centered (Rogerian) I take a person-centered approach, meaning my goal is to create a space where you feel safe and supported. I believe that you know yourself and what you need from therapy best, so it is my job to follow your lead on what you’re ready to explore and what matters most to you most. I will provide guidance and tools while trusting your insight to shape the work in a way that truly fits your needs. Somatic Therapy: Body-Based Healing for Emotional Trauma If you grew up with trauma or little emotional support, it’s natural to hold back or ignore feelings. In therapy, we focus on helping you feel safe in your body and with your emotions, so they can move through instead of getting stuck. Together, we gently explore sensations, notice what’s happening, and practice being present with them in a way that feels manageable.
