What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s important to know that you’ll be met with respect, understanding, and without judgment. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself and speak openly about what you’re going through. My approach is collaborative and strength-based, which means we’ll work together to build on your existing strengths while developing new tools to help you navigate challenges. I integrate trauma-informed care into my work and tailor each session to meet your individual needs, whether you’re processing past experiences, managing current stressors, or working toward personal growth. I also draw from evidence-based practices such as REBT and Brainspotting, which can help address both the emotional and physiological impact of trauma and stress. Some sessions may be more structured and skill-focused, while others may center on reflection and processing—depending on what feels most helpful to you. Above all, you can expect a genuine, compassionate partnership where your voice matters and your goals guide the work we do together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with an initial consultation where we explore what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This is also an opportunity for us to determine if we’re a good fit and to begin building a comfortable, trusting therapeutic relationship. In the early sessions, I focus on gaining a deeper understanding of your history, experiences, and strengths while collaboratively identifying treatment goals. From there, we develop a personalized plan that aligns with your needs and pace. Sessions may include processing past experiences, developing coping strategies, and building practical skills to manage day-to-day challenges. As therapy progresses, we regularly check in on your goals, adjust our approach as needed, and track your growth. My aim is to support you in gaining insight, strengthening resilience, and creating meaningful, lasting change—both in and outside of sessions.
