Jen received her graduate degree from the University of Southern California, where she obtained her Master’s in Social Work with an additional certificate in Military Social Work and Veterans Services. The focus of her degree program was adult mental health, with a sub-concentration in military and veteran populations as well as complex trauma. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with veterans, people experiencing homelessness, individuals with severe and persistent mental health disorders, co-occurring substance use disorders, and those who have experienced abuse. Currently, Jen is passionate about helping people who have experienced trauma reduce its impact on their lives while regaining their sense of safety and control. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, EMDR, and Safe and Sound Protocol to assist with addressing the effects of trauma. She also focuses on stress management, mindfulness, and positive coping skills to help clients decrease their symptoms, while using a strengths-based, solution-focused approach to empower people to learn about their mental health and take steps to improve their quality of life. When not working, Jen enjoys time with her family, reading, going for walks or hikes, watching college football, and spending time with friends.
