Jennifer Hyatt, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello! I am Jen Hyatt, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University. I have a passion for supporting fellow humans through challenges and enjoy being a part of the client's growth within therapy. My approach I am down to earth, open minded, and supportive (with a dash of healthy humor). I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, blending holistic and innovative techniques toward a customized therapy plan for each person I work with. I specialize in a fusion of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused, Humanistic, Person-Centered (Rogerian) therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My focus My approach to therapy is walking alongside clients as they learn new ways to respond to challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, and more. I work with many deep thinkers, neurodivergents, empaths, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those striving for an optimal life-people who are doing their best yet sense that life may hold more. My communication style I balance listening with helpful communication tailored to client needs. I create an inviting and non-judgmental space where clients feel free to express their innermost thoughts, life experiences, and difficulties in order to find a path forward. My journey to therapy Being a therapist is something that organically unfolded. I am a total nerd, lover of learning, and self-growth. I am also a former teacher who found that I spent more time focusing on the well-being of my students than academic pursuits or societal constructs of a one-size-fits-all box. I am also a rebel at heart. This has evolved over the years, and each progression led me to where I am today-realizing this is what I am meant to do in this world. Therapy is my jam, and I absolutely love working with my clients! My goals for you My approach is collaborative in nature.
