My approach I feel that within each of us are gifts and abilities to handle life's ups and downs, but that at times we may need another perspective, or to learn some skills, or find tools to be more effective. I often work with clients using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help them identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns. I also have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which can also help to give you perspectives on what is going on in your life and help you find a way forward. I believe in the mind-body connection and strongly encourage simple things such as working on sleep hygiene, nutrition, and exercise to help you on your journey. Based on your unique needs, I may adapt my approach to include practices like mindfulness and meditation. Your goals and progress are my primary focus.
