Getting to know Jennifer Leone

Often, when we come to therapy, we don't realize that old trauma is the source of why we feel stuck, depressed, or anxious. We recognize unhealthy or unproductive patterns but struggle to choose differently. I specialize in trauma-informed care and understand how to work with clients to attain a fuller life. I also focus on developmental, transitional, and existential issues challenging adolescents, adults, and parents. I hold a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego University for Integrative Studies. My style is both reflective, giving wide space to the client's process, and lightly directive. While deeply a serious person, my language is play and humor. I love my family, two Saint Berdoodles, gardening, and exploring cultures different from my own.
