I am a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South Dakota State University. I believe that talking through difficult issues, emotional pain, and complicated decisions can be one of the most helpful steps people take to navigate life. Being human means struggling, and I am passionate about helping people move through challenges toward a better, more rewarding life. My approach I offer a person-centered approach grounded in empathy, validation, compassion, and curiosity rather than judgment. I also use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Solution-Focused approaches as appropriate. Together, we explore what works best for you. My focus I work with a diverse range of clients, from adolescents to older adults, including couples and families. I support people dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, trauma, codependency, burnout, relationship disappointment, conflict, life transitions, and grief. I have specialized experience with young adults, healthcare workers, and those from Indigenous communities. My communication style I strive to be genuine, warm, compassionate, and kind. Depending on your needs, I can feel like a friend, coach, mentor, or mom. I balance listening with collaborating to find alternative solutions or interpretations while validating clients’ frustrations and disappointments. My journey to mental healthcare I have always felt a special calling to help others. After many years in healthcare, I shifted toward becoming a mental health professional. I am deeply passionate about listening to and caring for people who are hurting. My goals for you I collaborate with clients to identify goals and steps to achieve them. I use assessments to track progress while remaining a steady presence to encourage and offer hope.
