Psychotherapist
516 Sul Ross St, Houston, TX
I incorporate solution-focused techniques, as well as trauma-informed mindfulness practices such as brainspotting, into our work to ensure that short-term relief of your symptoms isn't where healing ends. Clients often share that they appreciate my openness with difficult issues like addiction, infidelity, trauma, uncertainty, or stagnation. Nobody moves through life perfectly, and together we will explore both your struggles AND your strengths. I have experience working with LGBTQ+ adults, neurodivergent adults, couples, military, and first responders.

Clients often share that they appreciate my openness with difficult issues like addiction, infidelity, trauma, uncertainty, or stagnation. What should a new client know about working with you?

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my initial sessions with clients to confront unhelpful thinking patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Later, I encourage routine mindfulness practice to begin making changes regarding how you see yourself, the world, and your problems. As we work towards your unique treatment goals over time, you'll have the option to dive deeper into subcortical level processing with brainspotting or EMDR.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our main foci in therapy will typically include increasing an understanding of your presenting issue followed by learning new skills and/or self-awareness to resolve the root of the issue. Creating short and long term therapy goals together will increase the likelihood of you achieving therapeutic success during our work together as well as empower you to stay well upon termination of counseling.
