Getting to know Jennifer Paz

Has your child been a victim of abuse or experienced a traumatic event? Perhaps your teen is undergoing a dramatic change in mood and motivation, or your child is beginning to show behavioral problems. I am a trauma and behavioral expert dedicated to helping children, teens, and their families heal and thrive at home, in school, and in relationships. I am a bilingual (English and Spanish-speaking) social worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston, specializing in extensive clinical experience working with sexually abused children, non-offending caregivers, and their family members. I also have experience in crisis intervention, play therapy, grief, and trauma, and I am fully trained in EMDR. My years of experience at The Children's Assessment Center in Houston provided me with a broad range of expertise working with children, teens, and families affected by abuse, as well as mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and behavioral issues. Additionally, I have worked with Communities in Schools, facilitating groups on social skills and anger management, supporting at-risk youth, and providing in-depth assessment services. My training and experience have equipped me to handle some of the most difficult and challenging situations. I am dedicated to helping your child reach their full potential and thrive!
