What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with, honoring where the client is at. I understand that each person’s experiences, challenges, and strengths are unique, and I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, supportive, and empowering. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a person-centered approach, as these methods help me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality and allow us to work together toward their goals. CBT helps identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, while a person-centered approach ensures that you feel heard, validated, and in control of your own healing process. At the core of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative experience. I am here to provide guidance, insight, and practical tools, but ultimately, you are the expert on your own life. Whether we are exploring patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, processing emotions, or developing new coping strategies, my role is to support you in a way that aligns with your values and needs. Above all, I aim to create a space where you can be yourself—without fear of judgment—so that real growth and healing can take place.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Seeking therapy is a courageous step toward self-understanding and positive change, and I am here to support you on that journey. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative, creating a space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I work with my clients to explore what they would like to get out of therapy, working collaboratively to develop their goals. This often starts by building trust between us and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy. Everyone’s path is unique, and I tailor my approach to fit your individual needs, whether that means processing difficult emotions, developing coping strategies, or working through past experiences. Throughout our sessions, we will regularly discuss progress and the direction of treatment. Therapy is an evolving process, and I believe in checking in to ensure we are moving in a way that feels meaningful and beneficial to you. My role is to provide guidance, tools, and insights while empowering you to make the changes you seek. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to support you every step of the way. If you're ready to begin or want to learn more about how we might work together, I invite you to reach out.
