What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a person first than a clinician. I am very easy to talk to. I use a human approach to build rapport rather than using the robotic therapist catch phrase "how does that make you feel?" I create a warm and inviting environment to ease any concerns, worries or fears you have.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In order for therapy to work, clients must be willing to open up and talk about difficult things. You will be talking the majority of the time while Im identifying patterns and connecting the dots of your story. I will point out my observations such as body language, phrases or words you repeat, or certain reactions.you use. We work towards achieving a goal whether it's reducing distressing symptoms, learning how to emotionally regulate, specific problem solving techniques or effectivly communicating with a partner. Sessions are used to facilitate some type of change you want to see. What are some things in your life you wish were different?
