Getting to know Dr. Jennifer Sellers

To the person who's held it together for everyone else, you've seen things you can't unsee. Maybe you're a first responder, military veteran, or just someone who's carried too much for too long. You're used to functioning under pressure, showing up for others, pushing through. And from the outside, you probably look like you're fine. But inside? You're exhausted. Disconnected. Maybe you're having flashbacks, panic attacks, or trouble sleeping. Maybe your body's in constant fight-or-flight, or you just feel numb. You've done therapy before, or you've avoided it. Either way, nothing has worked. You need something effective. I offer weekly, insurance-based therapy sessions, but I also offer trauma therapy intensives. As a trauma specialist, I understand your world-and your silence. You won't need to explain your mindset, your coping, or why you shut down. I get it. My work is direct but deeply grounded. I use EMDR, parts work, and somatic work to help you get unstuck. This isn't just about talking. It's about processing. Repairing. Resetting your nervous system. You'll walk away with real clarity, real relief, and tools you can use long after your treatment ends. You've survived. Now it's time to reclaim your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have 15 years of therapy experience in many different settings. I have helped children, adolescents, and adults work through traumatic experiences and move on with peace and clarity. I'm licensed in Texas and specialize in trauma related symptoms and disorders. In your therapy sessions, we don't just talk about trauma, we treat it. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed therapies that help your brain and body safely process what you've been through. Every method I use is personalized and paced to meet you where you are. You're in charge of the pace. My job is to guide you through the process, clearly, compassionately, and without pressure. Healing doesn't have to take years. Whether you're experiencing flashbacks, shutdown, moral injury, or just feeling stuck, I offer immersive, results-driven care where transformation is possible. A place you can health and feel better, quicker.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We begin by connecting on our first consultation call. We will then work together to book weekly sessions or a trauma intensive. During our first session, we will work together to build a plan that will address your specific needs in therapy.

Dr. Sellers is very knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. She is a great listener, but most importantly her input has helped me understand my symptoms. I’m a combat veteran who has seen over three years of hard fighting in Iraq. I suffer from PTSD. My sessions with her have given me the guidance that has helped me greatly control my symptoms. Dr. Sellers was a steady hand in a moment where I felt like I was drowning. Highly recommend her.
I worked with Jennifer Sellers a few years ago, and the experience was truly life-changing. From the very first session, I felt welcomed and supported. She created a safe, nonjudgmental space where I could be open and honest, and I always felt heard and understood. She gave me practical tools to understand my past trauma and guided me through a difficult time in my life. Her professionalism, compassion, and insight made a huge difference for me, and I still use the strategies I learned in those sessions today. I highly recommend Jennifer Sellers to anyone looking for a caring and effective therapist.
Mrs. Jennifer was the best therapist ever, I saw her for a year while I was a teenager, and she changed my life for the better. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be the strong person I am today! I highly recommend her to everyone!
For years I’ve had bottled up trauma and guilt about things that were not in my control. I had tried other therapists over the years, but I felt like I got nowhere. Dr. Jennifer actually helped me work through it and let a lot of it go. I highly recommend her to anyone in search of someone to talk to.
I absolutely loved her advice. She did not always agree with me but instead gave me another perspective on things making me see it from a different view. She has truly helped me with my past trauma and given me some great coping mechanisms to use in the future!
I felt very comfortable and relaxed talking to Dr. Sellers, she really helped me work through my problems and I would advise anybody to see her.
Jennifer Sellers helped me process my grief after my husband passed away. I still use her words “grief ball” even now to talk to people wnot my grief - the ball is bouncing around inside you, that’s the grief. Some days it doesn’t have any room to bounce, it has expanded.
Jennifer was extremely helpful. She worked with my daughter during a very delicate and difficult time. Jennifer handled everything with the utmost professionalism and a well-defined skill at building relationships quickly and effectively. She and my daughter got along wonderfully and Jennifer helped her explore some tough feelings and emotions in a way that allowed me to see massive improvements in her emotional well-being at a critical time in her life.
