What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable showing up as you are. Therapy with me is collaborative and individualized — we will work together to understand your concerns, clarify your goals, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful change. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions. Sessions often focus on helping you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building tools to manage stress, anxiety, and life transitions more effectively. I value transparency, consistency, and open communication. You can expect sessions to be structured yet flexible, with room to move at your own pace. I welcome questions, feedback, and collaboration throughout the process, as therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. All services are provided via secure telehealth, offering flexibility and convenience while maintaining a high standard of care. My goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and equipped with skills you can use both inside and outside of sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together typically begins with an initial intake session focused on understanding your concerns, history, and goals for therapy. During this first appointment, we’ll review what brings you in, discuss relevant background information, and identify areas you would like support with. This session also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and determine whether the therapeutic fit feels right for you. Ongoing sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented. Together, we will explore patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress, and work on developing practical tools to help you cope more effectively. My approach is trauma-informed and integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and strengths-focused interventions. Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing space to focus on what feels most important to you each week. Some sessions may focus on skill-building and coping strategies, while others may focus on processing experiences, increasing self-awareness, or navigating life transitions. All sessions are provided via secure telehealth, offering convenience while maintaining privacy and quality of care. My goal is to create a supportive, respectful environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful progress at your own pace.
