Getting to know Jennifer Stevens

I work with teens, adults, and couples who want to better understand themselves, improve relationships, and create change in their lives. I enjoy working with those navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, body image and self-esteem, disordered eating, substance use, OCD, or the uncertainty accompanying major life transitions (college, work, moving, parenthood, etc). Therapy can be a space to slow down and make sense of what's happening.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm grounded in psychodynamic, relational, and EMDR approaches. I meet you where you are, am curious about your past experiences, and collaborate with you on goals for where you’d like to be. We will look not only at symptoms, but at the underlying patterns that influence how you see yourself, connect with others, and show up in the world. At the heart of the work is helping you build trust within yourself and learn to understand and process your emotions rather than fear or avoid them.
