Getting to know Jennifer Suarez

I have a passion for helping individuals that have been struggling with racing thoughts/overthinking, burnout, anxiety/depression, and other difficulties that make things harder. I love working with couples to strengthen their relationship. I have over 10 years of experience working in different levels of care/populations, and helping with a wide variety of needs. I believe that therapy should be both effective and human: meaning I deliver evidence-based tools and approaches that are individualized to the unique person and I do so with warmth, humor when it helps, and always with respectful and supportive professionalism.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have experience working with individuals ages 11+ and couples helping them overcome barriers and enhance quality of life for needs related to addiction, ADHD, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+, OCD, and other forms of neurodivergence (or neurospicy). I use a person centered and trauma-informed approach with tools that draw from CBT, MI, ERP, and DBT.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with people who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, addiction, or other similar issues. We first start with a consultation call to determine if I'm a good fit for you. Then in our first session, we will discuss the issues you're experiencing in depth and work to establish your goals, then we begin working together towards those goals so that you can live and feel like a more authentic you.
