Getting to know Jennifer Williams
I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 20 years of experience working with diverse individuals in the community, private practice, and residential substance abuse treatment. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Albizu University. Never in a million years did I think providing counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups would be the career to captivate my heart…but it is! My specialties include working with clients who may be suffering from traumatic incidents, substance abuse, various forms of anxiety (PTSD, stress disorders), depression, self-esteem, and gender identity.
Making the decision to receive any form of mental health counseling can be taxing; however, the results are often positive and rewarding. Learning to face your fears in a healthy and appropriate manner is a sign of growth and maturity. It is not an easy task. You will cry, laugh, and maybe feel a little uncomfortable at times. This is just the therapeutic process working to make you emotionally stronger.
*Please note that my preferred treatment sessions are individual and group therapy. However, I do provide a limited number of couples or family therapy sessions for special circumstances.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of- network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
