Jenny Foote, LCSW

Jenny Foote, LCSW

Psychotherapist
PA
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with master’s degrees in psychology and social work, including a Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University. I have worked in various roles within the mental health field for more than 20 years, including Behavior Specialist Consultation, Mobile Therapy, and Case Management. For the last 10 years, I have served as a mental health clinician in a hospital setting, working with patients experiencing acute mental illness. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of the challenges individuals face in their mental health journeys. Why did you decide to work in this field? My journey to working in the mental health field took an unconventional path. Initially, I pursued a degree in Graphic Design, but despite the creative outlets it offered, I realized that something was missing; that my life experiences were gently nudging me towards a more profound calling. In the realm of human services, I discovered that although I was not creating art in the way I had always imagined, I could utilize my creativity in a different way—to empower individuals to transform their lives, just as I had been transformed through my own therapeutic journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

What is your therapy style? My unique background in both the creative arts and mental health informs my therapeutic style, allowing me to integrate creativity and empathy into my practice. I believe that creativity is not limited to artistic expression but extends to the creative problem-solving and resilience-building that are central to therapy. My approach combines the best of both worlds, offering clients a dynamic and compassionate therapeutic experience. If you find yourself scheduled with me, it's because I genuinely want to work with you, and I believe that I can help you navigate the challenges you're facing. What truly matters in therapy is YOU. My role is to assist you in reaching your goals and living a life that aligns with your values, preferences, wants, and needs. What should a new client know about working with you? Therapy is hard work. It can be a challenging process as we delve into your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. But please know that you won't be going through this journey alone. As your therapist, I will be there with you every step of the way - through the good and the bad. I believe in you and want you to succeed. Your well-being and progress are my top priorities. My deep desire is to do the best job possible in helping you find healing, create a life worth living, and reach your goals.
