Having been impacted by social, economic, and community plagues, Jermain L. Wright, founder of JW Counseling and Consultation, created his company out of a need to be in service to others. Jermain's approach focuses on fostering opportunities for the instillation of hope, restorative personal growth, and emotional healing. Born and raised in the Philadelphia region, he spent the first half of his life living in South Philadelphia. As a young child, Jermain struggled to understand how the trauma he experienced as a result of living in poor socio-economic conditions negatively impacted his emotional growth and development. As he sought support to overcome his own personal traumas, he recognized the need to play a role in helping others become the best versions of themselves. As a child, Jermain was exposed to community violence and an unstable home environment due to substance use, neglect, and extreme bullying. Through God's grace, Jermain was able to overcome his emotional challenges and went on to serve in the United States Army for over six years. Initially, he sought a career in enforcement; however, in 2011, Jermain's father passed away from heart disease triggered by long-term substance use. Out of this tragedy, Jermain developed a desire to become well-versed in the conditions that negatively impact the psychological needs of his community from a clinical orientation. He holds two master's degrees: a Master's in Human Services Counseling/Executive Leadership from Liberty University and a Master's in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Jermain is clinically trained to treat a wide variety of mental health challenges ranging from mild to serious.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
