“Jesenia is an amazing individual and needs much recognition for her work with Kaiser. Each aspect of the counseling process was executed with ease showing she is comfortable with the process and knows her material, as well as gifted in this field. I initially chose Jesenia from the website because of the statement given for her approach to therapy. She was clear in communicating all aspects from scheduling to, counseling session (process and progress). I needed "tools' to work-on outside of our conversations via zoom. Jesenia understood my current situation in my home with family dynamics (daughter and family of 5 returning to our home to live for 5 months) and she continued to affirm my struggle and professionally started each session with asking questions. Summarizing what she understood to be my need and brought about conversation with action to CBT, PST, Leaves of Stream which have been super valuable to take personal ownership with. She modeled the worksheet process and continued watching for my progress as well as leading me to an end with healthy skills under my belt. It's time to honor her as a person and her counseling abilities to bring about self esteem & competence in what I know of myself. What I needed most was growth in effective communication and I am at my fullest expression inside my family. She allowed me to participate what I was working on while giving the balance of listening and training to do my work for change. THANK YOU.”

My communication style My goal is to provide a warm and non-judgmental space where we can work collaboratively toward decreasing your symptoms and improving your quality of life. My journey to mental healthcare I have been in the helping field for over 10 years. I began my career as a social worker serving the bilingual population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am fluent in English and Spanish. As a natural empath, I truly enjoy helping others. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a Child Welfare Worker with children and families involved in juvenile dependency. My goals for you Together, we’ll develop goals and strategies tailored to you in order to reduce your symptoms. My first session with you Your first session is about getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and exploring how your symptoms affect your daily functioning across all areas of your life. The overarching goal is to identify your wants and desires for our work together. Each session thereafter deepens and broadens our conversation as we take steps toward your treatment goals.
