What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is rooted in warmth, openness, and genuine connection. I believe the heart of therapy is the relationship itself. Real change happens when you feel safe, understood, and free to show up as your full self. I aim to create a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. I welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. This is a space where you are respected, valued, and never expected to be anything but fully you. I specialize in Radically Open DBT (RO DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). RO DBT is designed for people who struggle with overcontrol — those who appear composed on the outside but often feel lonely, disconnected, or emotionally stuck on the inside. RO DBT helps people build deep, meaningful connections by increasing openness, emotional expression, and psychological flexibility. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It’s a structured, goal-focused approach that helps you identify unhelpful thinking patterns, shift perspectives, and take practical steps toward lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your therapy journey begins with an intake appointment. This first session is focused on getting to know you and determining whether RO-DBT or CBT is the right fit After determining which therapy is right for you, individual sessions typically occur weekly and focus on applying RO-DBT or CBT principles to your real-life experiences.
