Getting to know Jessica Brown

Have you ever felt like you cannot find the energy or motivation to do the most basic tasks? Or constantly gone over the "what-ifs" in your mind? Have you struggled with losing someone you love and felt as if you would never make it out of the fog? Have you experienced a traumatic event and need help managing the thoughts and feelings that arise afterward? Are you feeling stuck in your life or just listless? Are you struggling with substance abuse and its impact on your professional and personal life? Do you have a history of self-harm or self-harming thoughts? If any of these questions resonate with you, I am here for you. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Saint Leo University and bring over ten years of clinical counseling experience focused on depression, anxiety, end-of-life and grief therapy, substance abuse, self-harming thoughts and attempts, and trauma therapy. I am seasoned in case management and navigating medical crises in hospital environments. I also enjoy helping patients and families navigate end-of-life care planning. I am trained in using CBT and Guided Imagery to assist my patients with a variety of treatment needs and am certified in providing sexual assault survivor group counseling. I love helping my patients see that they have a purpose in life and a reason to live it with zeal and happiness. I find joy in seeing my clients learn techniques they can independently use to continue helping themselves beyond our one-on-one time together. I am passionate about supporting you as you succeed in your goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is for all of my clients to be able to utilize techniques learned in session to help alleviate feelings of depression and anxiety, help improve sleep and pain symptoms, and feel joy in their lives.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
