Psychotherapist
MN
Welcome to my online platform. I have been a therapist for 3 decades. I have enjoyed helping children, parents, and families unite through a variety of eclectic techniques that help identify roles and teach effective communication and problem-solving skills, which provide a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. My approach My approach to therapy is first making sure you are comfortable with my style of techniques and approaches, no matter what your age. My work ethic has provided a trusting therapist/client relationship through support and consistency. You can expect therapeutic homework from me as I believe change is met through experiences. My focus My goal as your therapist is to understand what your identified stressors are and begin setting into motion a plan to help you understand the "Who, What, Where, Why, and Hows" as well as provide insight as to the therapeutic process. I am highly experienced in multifaceted techniques, which, when often combined, provide the best outcome. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began when I was 7 years old. I lived on both sides of the tracks. My father was well off, and my Latin mother was a single and middle to low-income parent. Weekends were spent with all the things a child would want, and during the week, I was a latchkey kid. This became the foundation for speaking nationally on a parenting book I wrote. My goals for you As the therapeutic process begins, identifying goals is highly important. Clients will learn that often the goal is 'easier said than done'. My perspective is showing a client how to assess their goal to make sure they are not setting themselves up for failure. Habits take approximately 28 days to start and/or end.
