“I’ve been “therapist shopping” off and on for the past few years and I’ve finally found someone that I can connect with. Jessica asks thought provoking questions and it feels like I’m speaking with a friend. She creates a space that is comfortable and is a great listener. Can’t wait to continue working with her!”

Getting to know Jessica Burton

I am Jessica Burton, a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Georgia (License #012600) and South Carolina (License #8977). I graduated from Benedict College in 2010 and earned my Master's in Counseling from South University in 2012. With over 10 years of experience providing counseling and therapy services, I am a passionate therapist dedicated to helping others become their best selves. I have worked in numerous environments and settings, including prison settings, outpatient and inpatient facilities, and hospitalizations for adolescents and adults. My experience spans working with individuals, families, adolescents, and those with dual mental health diagnoses. I believe in promoting a safe space for real, authentic conversations where I meet you where you are. Together, we will identify and explore realistic steps to implement in your everyday life using supportive therapy and a holistic approach. I incorporate CBT and DBT skills and techniques to develop your very own personalized treatment plan. Together, we will embark on a personalized journey to break through limiting belief systems and begin promoting positive reinforcement of empowering beliefs.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
