Getting to know Jessica Conrad
As a Reality Therapist and certified DBT practitioner with a Master's in Professional Counseling from Spring Arbor University, I believe we are all responsible for the choices we make. I have worked with people of all ages suffering from alcohol and drug-related addictions, borderline personality disorder, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and interpersonal problems. My core values are integrity, truthfulness, responsibility, compassion, and accountability, and I operate from a place of moral principle. My purpose is to speak life into others and teach them how to do the same, starting within themselves. When we learn to connect our mind, body, and spirit, we can accept things for what they are, people for who they are, and still find harmony within. To me, life is like a roller coaster, and sometimes the only way to enjoy it is to throw your hands up and scream until you find the laughter within. We all suffer. We all have a story to tell. I'm here to listen to yours and help you find the peace that surpasses all understanding because we were never designed to go through life alone. Join me if you want to learn how to take back control of your life and become comfortably uncomfortable. You are unique. You are beloved. You are enough. It's time to be who you were designed and created to be!
What should a new client know about working with you?
I offer a judgment free zone, unconditional positive regard, empathy, and a challenging environment. Each session is unique and individualized, but you can expect to learn new skills with practical application, a focus for the week, and self-work assignments. Therapy is one of the hardest disciplines a person can learn, so my goal is to help you answer the “why” questions you keep asking yourself through first discovering what the problem is and how to overcome it. I’m here to keep it simple and enjoyable. You aren’t broken, but sometimes we do feel like our world has shattered into a million pieces. My job is to help you put those pieces back together.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Jessica is the first therapist I have who is so solution oriented and helpful. She actually helps me instead of just listens to me talk!

This provider was not a good listener during my services. Interventions were not catered towards problems i was reporting. She often made assumptions on what I was saying and coming to her own conclusions without asking me further details.

Jessica has been excellent in connecting and displaying patience with my progress. It seems she incorporates her personal experiences into our conversations, creating a reassuring and empathetic dialogue. Her humor allows for easy flow of conversation. Her literature recommendations have been of great advantage.

Jessica is amazing, she is incredibly knowledgeable, very articulate and explains why I feel the way I feel and provides me with the knowledge I need to help improve myself. She listens actively and stops when there’s something she wants to unpack. I’ve seen several other providers in the past just searching for the right one who works best for what I want and need and Jessica is the one. I’ve only been seeing her for a few months and I already feel empowered and like I really can manage my mental illness and live a happy fulfilling life!

In addition to Humorous and warm she is also intelligent, empowering, solution oriented, and authentic. I have struggled with finding a therapist who I work well with and that helps me works towards my goals but Jessica has helped me so much already in the few sessions we have already had. She has great advice and helps me see my rights and wrongs.

Jessica is without a doubt created do work in Therapy. She is a very complex individual in so many positive ways. Jessica is all of the therapy styles listed and somehow navigates them all. I always feel as though I can talk openly with her and not feel judged but she also does not miss an opportunity to challenge me and push me to be better. I can firmly say I know she is the counselor God wanted me to speak with as every time I do I leave better than when I went in. So thankful and blessed for all she has done to help me thus far. I look forward to continuing to work with her.
