Getting to know Jessica Dobbs

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience, committed to helping children, adolescents, individuals, and couples cope with mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief/loss, adjustment, self-esteem, sexuality, relationships, divorce, self-injury, suicidal ideation, medication management, and co-parenting. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor's degree from Florida State University. My theoretical framework is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, based on the belief that our thought patterns directly affect our behavior. I work to change unproductive thought patterns to achieve emotional well-being. Mindfulness techniques are also a common part of my practice, helping clients gain awareness and balance. However, I incorporate aspects of multiple theoretical orientations depending on the client's needs. My passion for counseling stems from my desire to help others without fear of judgment and to contribute to removing the stigma of mental illness. When I am not working with clients, I enjoy the great outdoors with my husband, our two children, and three fur babies. I hope I've answered some of your questions. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
