Jessica Galati, LMSW

Psychotherapist
NY
I’m a compassionate psychotherapist who feels deeply honored to support people through some of life’s most difficult and painful moments. I have extensive experience working with individuals navigating grief, bereavement, loss, and complex or unexpected health and mental health challenges. I understand that grief can look different for everyone, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and never rushed through your experience. My approach is rooted in genuine care, empathy, and attentive listening. I believe that meaningful therapy begins with a trusting relationship, and I work collaboratively with each client to understand their unique experiences, needs, and goals. When appropriate, I also collaborate closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure that care is thoughtful, coordinated, and centered around the whole person. I earned my Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare and am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW #076855) at Cerebral, where I provide convenient, accessible virtual counseling. I offer individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions while remaining flexible to each person’s circumstances. Throughout our work together, I routinely monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed. Most importantly, I want my clients to know that they do not have to navigate grief, loss, or difficult life transitions alone. My hope is to provide a compassionate and supportive space where healing can begin, at your own pace and in your own way.
