What should a new client know about working with you?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, and talk about your personal history at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You don't have to share everything at once—we'll move at a speed that respects your readiness. Together we'll identify your goals, discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and begin creating a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about the therapy process so you can leave with a better understanding of what to expect. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about your healing journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I combine empathy with practical, goal-oriented strategies to help clients create meaningful change. I strive to build authentic relationships where clients feel safe enough to be honest while also feeling challenged to grow. My experience working with trauma survivors, individuals with autism and ADHD, men navigating emotional struggles, couples, and families allows me to tailor treatment to each person's unique needs. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I collaborate with clients to develop skills that fit their strengths, values, and lifestyle. Whether we're processing trauma, improving relationships, managing anxiety, or building healthier coping skills, I focus on helping clients understand the "why" behind their experiences while equipping them with tools they can confidently use in everyday life. For clients seeking faith integration, I can also incorporate biblical principles and prayer as part of the therapeutic process. These responses align well with your specialties in sexual abuse trauma, men's mental health, autism/ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, and Christian counseling, while maintaining an approachable tone that appeals to prospective clients.
